This Privacy Policy explains what data the QwertyPlayer mobile and TV app (the "App") and the qwertypro.xyz website (the "Site") collect, how it is used, and your rights. By using the App or the Site you agree to this policy.
1. What QwertyPlayer does and doesn't do
QwertyPlayer is a media player only. It does not sell, host or provide any streams, channels, playlists or subscriptions. Content comes from playlists added by the user.
2. Data we collect
- Device information: a randomly generated device ID, device model, device type (phone, tablet, TV), operating system version and app version.
- Connection information: the IP address the App connects from and the time of the last connection.
- If you sign in with a provider code: the username given by your provider and the name of the channel/content currently playing. This is shown only to that provider for support and statistics. Users who enter their own server address do not send their username or what they watch to our server.
- If you use Manage from phone: the playlist name, server address, username and password or M3U link you add on the Site. Passwords and links are stored encrypted with AES-256.
- In-app preferences: watch history, favourites, language and player settings are stored only on your device and never sent to our server.
3. Why we use it
- To operate the App, deliver added playlists to your device and resolve provider codes,
- To send announcements and notifications,
- For security, abuse prevention (e.g. rate-limiting failed attempts) and troubleshooting,
- For aggregated, anonymous usage statistics.
4. Sharing
We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. If you sign in with a provider code, the information above is shared only with that provider. We may disclose data to authorities where required by law.
5. Retention
Device records are kept for up to 12 months after the last connection, daily usage statistics for up to 13 months and viewing statistics for up to 4 months. Playlists added from your phone are kept until you delete them.
6. Security
All communication is encrypted with HTTPS. Playlist passwords are stored encrypted, TV pairing codes are short-lived and single-use, and failed attempts are rate-limited.
7. Children
QwertyPlayer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Adult categories are hidden by default and protected by a PIN.
8. Your rights and data deletion
You have the right to access, correct and request deletion of your data. You can delete playlists added from your phone at any time on the "My playlists" page. To delete all records of your device, see the Data Deletion page or write to [email protected].

This policy may be updated. Significant changes are published on this page; the current date is shown at the top.
